This is so awesome Mary. It brings back many memories to me. As a child riding into Manhattan with my parents this was always a building I loved to see. I always new we were almost at our destination. You capture it's natural dof so well. f/v :)

Thanks so much for your comment, Kathy. I only became aware of the flatiron building a few years ago. I love it. It was a real treat to finally see it a couple of years ago. I had to jump out of the car (I was the passenger!) and position quickly on the sidewalk, shoot the photo, and jump back into the car...a "wing and a prayer shot"! I was so pleased that it came out as well as it did!

Thanks Sue! I quickly hopped out of the car a few blocks up, and took about 20 seconds to get a few pictures. There's lots of interference, not like the days of Edward Steichen when he chose branches for his foreground!
