Very nice, love the blue sky

Mary McAvoy replied:

Thanks, Bryan! (The "sky" is actually a reflection on the water!)

Thanks, R. christopher Vest. This and bittersweet, two of my favorite plants for their beauty, are invasive! And as you say, we should pull them up! I've written about bittersweet at my blog, SilverLining-MaryMcAvoy.com As for the "sky" behind the purple loosestrife...it actually is a reflection of the sky in the pond behing the plant! Hope that doesn't disappoint! Thanks for visiting my photos and for your comment. Mary

getting low to position this against the sky makes a brilliant image. lovely flowers, although sorry to say they are classified as a noxious invasive species. take the pic and then pull them up!

Thanks Betty! It might seem as if getting a great shot of purple loosestrife would be easy. But it's not! Lighting and focus can make for great variety in shots and a real challenge to capture its beauty - as seen by the naked eye. I think I've got it here (and in my other purple loosestrife photo). Incidentally, the sky is a reflection on a pond's surface in this image and in the other on my site!
